Yes, they do lack finishing and killer instincts. And that is exactly why results like this should not come as a surprise. Top 4 was a pipe dream and would have required more luck and good fortune than anything. Look at them.

3-0 to Watford was horrible. 2-0 to Newcastle was horrible. 1-0 to United is nothing.

Top 4 was over after they lost at Newcastle. This is a terrible side and will be lucky to finish 7th.

People are going way overboard about the quality of this side. They lack finishing (mostly because Benteke can't get time and everyone else is injured), but a worse side was just taken by Rodgers to 6th last season.

I think the team wasn't picked properly to play United, but meh.

Right now Klopp should be trying to fit Benteke into his squad and working with him because he's the only real goalscorer available. He is not less mobile or skilled than Giroud or Lukaku.

Anyway, on to the next, and yes losing to United is always worse than losing to Newcastle or Watford. Especially since United are so **** right now.
