It will be tough choice.
First line, I think, Popov - Malkin - Perezhogin. It was the most productive line on a last WC.
I feel sorry for Mozyakin, but he has to compete with Ovi, Covy for the place in the second - third line as a left winger and I think Bill won't choose him.
Second line: Ovi/Covy - Datsyuk - Radulov
Third line: Covy/Ovi - Anisimov - Zherdev

But on a PP Mozyakin along with Malkin would be a more deadlier than Covy/Ovi

Russia vs Finland gon be uglyyy

Well, yeah, a bad team from us this year, but these are hardworking, highly disciplined players (we have an awesome depth in this type of player...) and with a hot goalie they can surprise in a single game.

But not against Russia, admittedly...

There is thing about this roster. Bill waited so long and presented an extended roster because of the CBA talks so he probably has 2 rosters in mind: one with the NHLers and one without them. There are 10 D-men and 18 forwards, as well as 2 KHL goalternders. That means: should the lockout last the roster will be something like that:

Mozyakin(Popov)-Malkin-Perezhogin
Ovechkin-Datsyuk-Radulov
Kovalchuk-Shipachev-Zherdev
Kulemin-Anisomov-Plotnikov(Shirokov)

Medvedev-Nikulin
Belov-Ryasensky
Yemelin-Tyutin
Biryukov-Rylov

Anisimov will center the 4th line. It's Bill's world. Probably with wings like Kulyomin. Big guys. And it's gonna be a helluva 4th line.

Would be fun if they got a new CBA done by the end of this week and all the NHL players would have to report back.

our squad without nhl players would also looks solid.

Mozyakin-Shipachyov-Zherdev
Dadonov-Tikhonov or somebody else -Shirokov

concrats :handclap: but the contest is not over, we have 2 more stages.
i want a revanche ;)

New input from Zankovets. Anton Belov out two weeks. Popov will go to Novogorsk to be evaluated by NT doctors. A minor injury obviously.

That makes room for Mozyakin and Denisov(there is that circumstance that puts Denisov on the roster).

Possible lines.

Johansson - Bäckström - Hörnqvist

Lindström - Söderberg - Ericsson
Pettersson - Lundqvist - Lindberg

Kronwall - Hedman
Bäckman - Frögren
Ahnelöv - Viklund

Lindbäck (2 games)
Enroth

Persson, Danielsson and Burström should get zero minutes, they bring nothing to the team.

Staffan has been one of the very few consistant players for Sweden the last few years. Even to the point where I'd consider him having an outside chance of making the Olympic team.

Ok, I can understand Bill's love for Tereschenko, he is a solid two-way player. But his love for Zherdev is reaallyy strange.)

Have you seen him play recently? He's a perfect fit to be 'the other winger' on the line with Kovalchuk.

Btw, it's obvious that a lot of attitude problems with some players come from the acceptance by the coach, team, country. Syomin is the best example. He's always a beast for the NT. Of course it's better to have a bunch of elite superstars with no attitude issues. But it doesn't work that way. Zherdev is an extremely talented hockey player. He always was. And Bill always knew that. So he did some mentoring and it seems to work for both sides.

Ryasensky injured. Kalinin and Chudinov get invited to camp instead. I like it. Ryasensky is lock anyway. Chudinov's development is sliding a little bit with SKA. I want to see him perform at last.

So when is Russia announcing their final roster? Oh, and for people that have the information, it'd be awesome if the rosters from all teams, once they're finalized, got posted ;)

I think Russia will announce their roster so late as possible. As i know they meet today for the first time, the practising will start tomorrow. So maybe on tuesday. but when we see the lines on monday, then we know who will play.

EDIT: Bilyaletdinov has now also invited Ketov.
