I'd offer a third round pick for pool party.

If that doesnt get it done he can continue busting over in Europe.

How about this trade....

Ottawa

Tyler Ennis

Edmonton

Jesse Puljujärvi
I think if EDM decided it wanted a veteran bottom line player for JP then they could still do better than Ennis. And I don't think they want a veteran bottom line player for him in the 1st place.

why even offer the third then?

he's not being given away and when he gets traded it'll be a lot more than a third

Just so he could add " if not my offer then guy should rot in Europe"

Ennis for Benning

Just because Desharnais for Davidson turned out fine for EDM the last time they made the playoffs.

noope and here is why

1) Soon to be UFA
2) Oilers could have had him in the off season
3)his numbers are based more upon the fact he is getting good icetime and he would not get that in Edmonton
4)Oilers can wait till the off season again

When the Oilers trade pizza boy it will be for another pick who had high expectations but needs as change of scenery not a 30 soon to be UFA. Logan Brown makes more sense

For all you people who are experienced GM's on here....

JP is a bust from an Oiler perspective cannot score in a top 6 position, cannot play with McD or RNH. Get what you can then move on...

Holland has tried to trade him for months and fair value for a player who has proved nothing is based on what the market will pay. And it seems there is no takers for his potential. It is very unlikely you will get even close value to what it costed to draft him.

The team needs a third line center now... Next summer is not soon enough...

Edmonton can expect a 3rd round pick tops. Teams aren’t desperate to add JP to their roster, that’s evident. If Edmonton wants to hold onto to him and watch him play overseas, that’s up to them.

And? Still doesn’t change the fact he’s pretty old, a UFA in the summer, and nothing more than a 4th liner.

Pulju is only being traded for a good 3rd liner around 25 or 26, or a young player that was drafted high and has failed to meet expectations so far.

Chia isn’t in charge here anymore, Holland would laugh at that proposal.

You did not compare are a top ten pick in his first year as a pro to a 4th rounder taken 121st overall did you?

You're right, I did not.

Just for fun...
Nyqvist was taken 121st overall in 2008
Hodgson was taken 10th overall in 2008

My point was your comment was dumb... just in case you missed that too.

Bad offer, Ennis isn’t worth Puljujarvi, but I don’t get why Ennis is getting slagged as if he’s a useless player.

He’s not ideal but would actually be a decent depth acquisition for Edmonton. He’s quite fast, has great hands and is good in the offensive zone. He also has a good motor and works hard every shift.

He’d be fifth among your forwards in points and fourth in goals.

Seems like a nice fit.

A mid/low pick would probably do it.
