Market was obviously limited for the guy, but there's gotta be some team out there kicking themselves for not throwing a 4th Ottawa's way.

Yeah its surprising. Ennis is a very useful player.

Bit of a steal of the Oilers. But can't blame Dorian if nobody offered anything better

so people can’t say that he played really well in that one game?
he played really well last season. Also his points arent that bad given the team he's been on this year. 3rd liner who can skate with Mcdavid and has some finesse, should work out rest of the season.

5th rounder is a great deal

Also, he’s a good forechecker. He’s from Northern Alberta as well, he knows the type of heavy forecheck and finish every hit type of hockey that Western Canadians love.

His speedy, aggressive, and full effort type of hockey is exactly the type of winger that meshes best with McDavid.

I’m not being hyperbolic when I say that he might end up the best trade deadline pickup of anyone.

He's actually the 4th highest scoring Oiler the moment of the trade.

THAT'S how starved the Oilers were for depth.

Tyler P. Ennis is a nice cheap addition for the Oilers, who I think missed the boat on Pageau. JGP would have given them elements sorely lacking for the post-season.

no it really isn’t. He played one game. He played good. How is that a “strong comment”, what the f*ck does strong comment even mean lol.
Saying I'm wrong is a "strong comment". Not "you might be wrong", simply I'm wrong because Ennis was successful in his first game.

Are you going to quote me again if after the next few games it doesn't work?

Why would anyone need to? They aren't saying it will work forever. This is why we dont speak in absolutes, it's not going to work forever, the same as it's not going to never work...

Doubt Ennis is much worse than Chiasson, who scored 20 with McDavid.

What's your definition of "work"? Saying it wont work and then having an infinite timeline and no quantification of whether it works or not is a pretty good way of hedging your statement. But then if you need to hedge, why sound so sure?

Oilers 1st was not on the table so they were out of contention for JGP. Trocheck is someone who could have been acquired if Oilers had some cap space.

Not for his price, I dont think we could afford to pay that to Ottawa, given that we arent a playoff lock.

I said it made you look bad. I never said you were wrong. The results of last nights game show that, so far, you actually are in fact wrong. It’s ok to admit that your hot take looks bad right now. You took a swing and you missed.

Still see Ennis on a line with Sheahan and Archibald down the final stretch. Decent depth player.
His trade value would have been much higher if he was a dependable PKer. Not many playoffs teams look to add a small bottom 6 forward who is not a PK or faceoffs specialist.

I don't care about looking bad, but you definitely implied that I'm wrong, otherwise why even quote me.

obviously you do care because you are still continuing to cry about my comment that exclusively mentioned you looking bad and said absolutely nothing about you being wrong

You can tell yourself whatever you need to in order to convince yourself you’re right

Yes you clearly don’t care

the only one who continues to say anything about you being wrong...is you

so you’re doubling down after your first comment made you look bad? Bold

So why are you quoting me? Like you're clearly trying to get something out of making me look bad.

Is it not a reasonable take for me to say let's wait before getting in to an argument about how bad my post is after one game?

Again, I don't care about being wrong, and I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong after a few game sample size.
