The biggest issue with Ritchie is that he is completely incapable of participating in a rush up ice. Every time the puck gets to him, he’s either at a dead stop or barely moving and takes forever to get going. There’s no chance of any play being fluid that involves Nick Ritchie.

He has one play. And that’s get the puck behind the net and throw it in front. He does this whether or not there is a bruins player there and no matter how many Islanders are defending it.
