From the league's release:

In the League’s May 14, 2021, memorandum to Clubs, we advised that the CDC had
issued updates relaxing certain requirements applicable to vaccinated individuals, and
said that we would continue to monitor these new measures to determine if further
revisions to the NHL Protocols (including the Guest Experience Protocol) were
appropriate and warranted in the future. As a result of such review, and following
consultation with the NHL’s and the NHLPA’s medical experts, please be advised that
effective for Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, there will no longer be a requirement
in the Guest Experience Protocol that Guests over the age of two (2) wear a face covering
while in the arena. Instead, each Club is free to establish its own face covering policy for
its spectators, which policy will be subject to applicable rules and regulations in its local
jurisdiction that govern whether vaccinated individuals and unvaccinated individuals are
required to wear a face covering while indoors at an NHL Game.

Really going to need the 3rd line for the Bs to show up this series. Arguably the biggest disparity in talent is the islanders 3rd line compared to the bruins third line.

Some general game 1 history stats that I thought I'd share:

Historically, in 7-game series, the winner of game 1 goes on to win the series 68.9% of the time (over 718 total series). However, in recent years for the Bruins (since 2008), the winner of game 1 has only gone on to win the series 46% of the time (over 26 series).

The Bruins are 16-10 in game 1s since 2008. When they win, they went on to win the series 9 of the 16 times. When they lose game 1, they rebounded to win the series 7 of 10 times. In round 2 - game 1s, the Bruins are 7-1 overall since 2008 (only loss 2014 vs MTL).
So win or lose game 1, the B's are good.

Curious what the Bruins / TD Garden do. They kept passing the buck and blaming the NHL in the emails.

Game 2 will be 7:30 on Monday on NBCSN. Should be announced tonight.

The lovey-dovey hug it out vibes from Bruins fans on the main boards is very disappointing. Very NBA-esque. Seems like I’m in the minority in thinking this series won’t be that close, oh well. Judging by Wagner’s comments yesterday, sounds like the boys are pumped for a near-full garden. They’ll build off of that, probably the only blowout game 5-2 B’s.
Sometimes you have to play the long troll act/routine. The past few days there have had too many has been Shitsburgh and Crap cry babies interrupting those threads to target the Isles posters.

After game 1, the lovey dovey stuff will end and it will be fun.

Who do you regard to be the 6 most talented players between both teams?

marchand bergy pasta hall mcavoy barzal in no order.

bruins have a good edge in the top two lines, islanders bottom six especially with pageau and palmieri who always kill the bruins is where they have a significant chance to offset our top two lines. We’ve got nothing from our third line for the whole year besides debrusk last series.

Tuukka Rask:

Career in Playoff Game Ones (17 games)
1.93 GAA ; .930 Sv% ; 1 Shutout

Following a win in the playoffs since 2018-19 (16 games)
1.85 GAA ; .940 Sv% ; 2 Shutouts

Last 13 starts vs the Islanders
9-2-1 ; 1.28 GAA ; .950 Sv% ; 2 Shutouts

^ I wonder how many goalies have those type of numbers against one team over a 10+ game stretch...?
