Rangers all well balanced, have skill and toughness + great goaltending. Carolina also, but not at the same level IMO. Rangers is the EAST monster. Hope for a great game.

Carolina is the Cup favorite. If they don't win this series, that would be humiliating.
Imagine finishing a hockey season #1 in the League, enjoy playoff home ice advantage plus a 100% healthy roster, won the regular season series, but trying to sell an "underdog" narrative based on......sports betting Oddsmakers.

We all know hockey means injuries, bad bounces, inconsistent officiating, bonehead penalties, bad ice, deflections, hinky board rebounds, etc etc etc. and due to this very nature, there's no sport of greater variance in predicted outcomes, even for a single hockey game, let alone picking a favorite to win 4 grinding, best-of-7 series, even before Round 1 begins.

Therefore, we all know the sports betting Oddsmakers don't know shit when it comes to predicting chances for anything past the most obvious outliers in hockey, and no advanced stats fed into algorithms, pundits, and supposed "insider" information will change that. Their whole shtick is to convince unwary and uninitiated suckers into believing the "science" behind their odds-making is solid.

Since I assume you're not a sucker, your post must've been just a bit of fun sarcasm.

The Rangers roster is not 100% healthy Chytil isn't playing and neither is Wheeler. Though Wheeler is addition by subtraction and Chytil could probably come back either now or soon. But no it's not 100% healthy. Chytil would be a massive improvement over Wennberg whose has already been good.

I thought Chytil has been cleared as healthy and practicing without a noncontact jersey for weeks. As a middle 6 it seems like keeping him out is more a coaching choice to not force changes into the lineups as long as the winning continues, rather than an inability to play.
