Players of Pasta's ability don't play bad unless they're injured. It's been a long season and tough playoff series . He'll be back strong as he heals

That's entirely untrue. If a team schemes against them, and they're playing nervous, they can struggle. We've seen Marchy do it a bunch of times, healthy.

Go look at what a bunch of Tampa players did round 1.

Pasta looks like he isn't comfortable with shooting the puck. Is it the thumb again?

It's probably mental

Hockey players are streaky you just don't notice it because of the impact of goals

I think they swap Backes and Wager, just because Backes has looked his best in past playoffs playing with Kuraly. I also think they swap Pastrnak and Heinen, but will switch quickly if they need to.
I would like to see Heinen with Coyle and Johanson
Bergeron’s line although generating offense is keeping the scoring chances down against Duchene

Blue Jackets forward Cam Atkinson is upset about ending up with a broken stick during a faceoff in OT where he was lined up with Marchand.
Atkinson said it's never happened before but wasn't surprised considering it was Marchand.
“Hey, if that’s how he wants to roll,” Atkinson said. “I don’t know, that’s who he is. I’m not going to let it get to me. It is what it is.”
Has Marchand just crept inside the Blue Jackets heads?

Sure you're not, Cam. That's why you went out of your way to give him a few extra shots on your way off the ice and when you came back on the ice with the new stick.

That has to be Marchand’s best troll ever.

He fanned on a shot and pass in about a 2 minute stretch without being pressured. His hand is obviously bothering him

We all hope Krejci can go in game 2 but maybe that is the game to sit him ? They have a two day break after game 2 and Krejci gets the time off he needs before game 3 .

I am not sure the B's have as many players that do this as CBJ. They are no longer the big bad B's.

No, they're not the big bad Bruins anymore but they have to be prepared to take it to the Jackets as much as possible

B's need to play smart, stay aggressive and make good quick passes to minimize the Jackets hitting

It might not be a bad idea to put Backes back in the lineup next game

I wonder what they go with if Krejci can't play tomorrow. Maybe something like this?

Marchand-Bergeron-Pastrnak
Johansson-Coyle-Heinen
DeBrusk-Kuraly-Kuhlman
Nordstrom-Acciari-Wagner

Heinen had some incredible advanced stats last game, but with this lineup you load up the 1st line and try to get Pastrnak back on fire. Put Heinen with Johansson and Coyle, and then DeBrusk goes on a makeshift 3rd line with Kuraly and Kuhlman. That 3rd line would have some crazy speed, but I'd be worried about the offense.

Read the OT thread if you want over reaction. Holy cow !
Rask sucks, Coyle costs the game and probably the series, think about trading Pasta, yikes.

Don't care what Mgmt says about injured players, they are rarely truthful, but hope they
speak the truth about DK. Didn't they say Miller was coming back soon ?
