Looking forward to what should be a good series.

The Penguins are going to get slaughtered but I feel like the Rangers were the weakest R1 opponent they could have gotten.

Rangers in 5, maybe 6 if the Penguins big guns show up and DeSmith plays well. The Penguins only advantage they could have had on the Rangers is with their depth, but their depth scoring has completely evaporated over the last few months.

4. And guys with 18 or 19, dumb semantics

So you're bragging about scoring 18 or 19 goals as proof the Penguins have good depth? Really?

Their 2nd highest point producer in their bottom-6 since February 1st has been Brian Boyle. Kapanen, Blueger and Rodrigues have 6 goals in 94 games combined between them over that sample.

Not feeling great about the series but you never know. It's the first time in a while the pens are a big underdog in a series. No pressure at least.

Malkin only played 41 games this year and was pretty hit or miss for the games he played. If pens can get a dominant Malkin back that would change my mind about the series.

Since when like 16 of those goals came before January and they have 3 goals since then.

Heinen, Carter and Boyle are the only depth guys who have been producing at even a fine rate for the last few months. And Carter's doing that while looking pretty horrendous and putting up terrible analytics.
