Everyone remembers 2013 for the Leafs epic third period collapse.

Perhaps we should start remembering it for the fact that the Bruins even let it get to that point, after giving up a 3-1 series lead against the worst playoff team of the decade. Like that roster was laughably bad.

This year we’ll finish the job.

Crazy that this is the fourth straight Bruins-Leafs series to go the distance.

Even crazier are the similarities from 2013. I checked this morning.

Bruins built up a 3-1 series lead.

Game 5 2013: Leafs win 2-1 in Boston
Game 5 2024: Leafs win 2-1 in Boston

Game 6 2013: Leafs win 2-1 in Toronto
Game 6 2024: Leafs win 2-1 in Toronto

We all know what happened in Game 7 back in 2013.

Winner also if it’s the Leafs.

Imagine the entertainment if the Leafs win Game 7 and there’s a new coach on the bench for round 2!
Regardless of Saturdays outcome I want Montgomery gone as well. If Boston by some miracle advances, and beats Florida, maybe he stays. But it’s a pipe dream. Goodnight, sweet prince

Not quite. Leaf fans acting like they've already won the series.
It's a win win for the Leafs.

They either get Keefe fired or they slay their Boston dragon.

Nothing to suggest that they couldnt make that adjustment with him in the line up.
I agree except here we are. Without Matthews they've tightened up and everyone is picking up the slack.

And the HF peanut gallery is cranking out excuse after excuse.

I don’t know how anybody could have shit to say to Leaf fans who are acting supremely cocky today. Roles reversed, I’d be strutting around with my Frank and beans out too. Toronto has completely emasculated Boston these last two games. Go ahead, strut your shit my Toronto brethren. Don’t mind me.

I really have no idea who'll win game 7, the Leafs play better on the road so they have road ice advantage, but they're still missing their best player. Boston hasn't played well at all for the whole series, Pasternak has been more invisible than Marner. Game 7 is a toss up to me. It seems that these two teams always go 7 games with Boston winning, no matter who wins neither can say that they dominated.

Am I crazy to think Pasternak is nursing an injury or is at least exhausted? Can't believe no one is commenting on it but he was very weak on his skates last game.

You haven't noticed how they've tightened up on the defense with him not in the lineup?
Please don’t tell me you actually think we are better off without him? It’s a ridiculous line of thinking. First of all we are getting a save the last few games and second Matthews is also a great defensive player. The players should be given a lot of credit for what they did the last two games. There is no reason to get into silly hot takes about how we don’t need a 69 goal scorer lol

Yes. Much like many people acting like the Leafs were dead men walking 2 games ago. At the end of the day, it will be the results on Saturday that matter. hope it's a good one. Evertything in between then is bravado and chest thumping.

Go Leafs Go! and F the Bruins!
