For a little more clarity, here's the breakdown on power plays on a team win basis:

For Boston wins (Games 1, 2, 4):

GameBostonToronto
13/60/3
22/41/4
40/00/1
Total5/101/8
[TBODY] [/TBODY]

For Toronto wins (Games 3, 5):

GameBostonToronto
30/11/1
51/61/1
Total1/72/2
[TBODY] [/TBODY]

What does this tells us? It seems like when a team scores on the power play, chances are they win......shocking!

Also shows the discrepancy in power plays in the 2 games the Leafs have won compared to the 3 games the Bruins have won.

There is no reason this game should have been 6-1 PP for boston. If they were going to start calling slashes, clutching, grabbing they should have called the same for both team. Everything boston did went uncalled. Wtf was that they should be forced to give an explanation. I hope babcock isn't afraid to mouth off to these officials.

No ****, when do you think Bruins started getting all the calls? A minute after JVRs goal to put em up 4-1
Again, shots were 20-5 in the third period in favour of Boston. 18 minutes of that period were played 5v5. Freddy was spectacular and he had to be.

Does DOPS look at this?

Probably not. Unlike Bruins players, Marner didn’t milk it.

Just got off the phone with the refs, they said Marner gets a 2 minute penalty and the NHL may give him a game for interfering with Marchand's glove.

All that’s going to do is piss of the officials, and make things worse. No accountability with officiating is a huge problem.

They should probably stop taking so many penalties then.

Wouldn't be surprised if Marner was suspended 3 games for embellishing.

Those two aren’t a pairing...Dermott plays with Polak but you being wrong isn’t a shocker. Saying Dermott has been one of the Leafs worst defenders shows just how much hockey knowledge you really have.

Dermott is certainly one of the weaker defenders along with Zaitsev this series. Not sure what series you are watching.

Regardless, both would be a mis-match against the Bergeron line. That's what Cassidy could do, if there is a game 7.

Leafs are 1-1 against Boston with Kadri. He makes a huge difference to the overall structure of the team.

I’d love to see how other teams do in the playoffs without their back to back 30 goal match up centre.

Game 6 will be the first time in this series that the Leafs will be able to ice their full lineup and deploy players the way they want on home ice.

Should be a fun game.
