Bruins in 5. They started waking up the last couple of games. When they play with confidence not many hang with them. Usually I’m a pessimistic, but feel good with this match up.

He seems to kill the Bruins, but hopefully they shut him down..
I have confidence they will but every time he touches the puck I get nervous.

Tuukka is in the zone and I trust the extra rest and prep is really going to benefit the Bruins.

Not going to be an easy series by any stretch. We can not overlook these guys.

I got the Bruins in 6

Also they're dealing with injuries. Compare McElhinney and Bobrovsky. Quite sure this series will be 4-0 or 4-1 Bruins.

I dont know... Caps were/are a pretty solid team and the Islanders were no slouches either. I know for a fact that fans of both those teams said the exact same thing. Canes just seem to have a knack for scoring goals at the right time and it doesn't show up in stats.

Who are their offensive weapons?

Seems J. Staal is producing. Aho is their top guy. Teroveinen* can score at will. Who else am I missing?

After that it's really a bunch of secondary scorers like Williams, Niederreiter, Ferland (if healthy), Foegele, Svechnikov, etc.

Slavin is making a MVP case for him, just elite defensively with added offense to his game in these playoffs.
He's not a physical guy but he's frustrated the hell out of his opponents. Just has seemed to break up every 1on1 or 2on1 play.

Then you have Pesce to worry about who's better than Savard.[/QUOTE
If you go back and read the original post from when the the conversation started, you'll see, we were comparing their right-side defense to that of Columbus. Saying it will be like a fresh of breath Air for Marchand and Debrusk not having to see Jones or Savard.

Although I do agree that Slavin is an elite defenseman and has been the Canes MVP as of now.

I feel better about this series. The last couple games v Columbus looked way better and they seemed to have energy and chemistry. Even though we beat Toronto I did not think we looked good at all. Plus Rask is en fuego.

Still gotta learn to keep up the energy when we're down. This team has blown some stupid leads this post season. Aho can and will create goals from just about anywhere. I think Bergy can shut him down but Carolina can get him away from Bergy in Raleigh. Gotta hit him every chance you can.

Also like I said before f*** Dougie and his baby soft play. Gross.

Mr. Game 7 Williams is a pain in the ass

They have quite a bit of talent up front there's still Neiderreiter and Svechnikov who can beat you and then there's Andrei Frogle who has seemed to make these playoffs his coming out party. He's been a real threat it seems every time he steps on the ice and of course their defense loves to rush the puck and jump in offensively.

Dougie Hamilton I think at times plays more of a rover roll than anything.
