Tampa, without question.
1. They faced NJ who shouldn't have even been there if it wasn't for Taylor Hall playing out of his mind. The Devils were a one man show - the dropoff after Hall is startling. Their defense is average and their goaltending, good but not great. I'm surprised Tampa barely broke a sweat in the 1st round.
2. Then they get Boston, who are a very impressive team, if only they haven't been in a 7 game war with the Leafs and a couple of their players weren't playing badly injured. Not to mention Marchand self-destructed and became a sideshow circus act. The Bolts didn't get a rested, healthy, focused Bruins team.
As for Vegas, it appears they had the easiest route because they only lost 2 games heading into Winnpeg in round 3, but this is not the case. The games vs. the Kings were all close battles, including a game without Doughty. The Sharks are also a very talented team that kept coming - the Knights just simply outclassed them. Both were better teams that what Tampa faced when they did.
Forget about Winnipeg, they went through a tenacious Wild squad and the Presidents Trophy winner in an epic Game 7 battle.
The Caps beat the Jackets, after trailing 2-0, and then slayed the dragon and Stanley Cup champs.
This goes to Tampa, easily. Not even close.
