That’s enormously speculative, and also completely devoid of context. I agree he’s played very well. But how valuable is he to the Blackhawks this year? Think they can go 1-11 without him?

Exactly. Even if it’s a top5 pick. Jones is a 4th OVR pick and has already proven to be a great player. There’s no guarantee that your top 10 picks will be anything at all Strome, Boqvist, Dach for example. There’s a wide spectrum of results even drafting that early in the first round. Nothing is guaranteed.

It is just my opinion. I like Boqvist a lot as a prospect but i am extremely high on Jones. He is a legit number 1D and they a hard as shit to find.

It might end up that way but before the picks are made but no it definitely is not.

If you look at past results of the two picks you will see that there is not some giant value difference in past results. The are both first. We are talking about the 11th overall not a top 5 pick.
