Odd, I would guess it's the Panthers who told him not to report, since it's a one-way deal. He'd be crazy to think there was something better out there.
IIRC Panthers can suspend him without pay.Sorry if this is a dumb question, but if a player doesnt report for a team (in this case if Olsen hasnt reported to SA), what happens to the player? Does he not get paid? Or what?
Makes you wonder if there is more to this?
Per GR he is "taking care of a personal matter."

I hope the personal matter isn't too serious. I also hope he is being an arse because he's been waived to the AHL.
Pretty sure he's in training to become a firefighter.
Wouldn't shock me. Some guys give themselves a timeline and if it doesn't work out, they call it a career. For real?

For real?
Panthers win stanley cup.
Small accidental fire appears at the cup celebration.
First firefighter to respond; Dylan Olsen.
Olsen becomes the real MVP afterall
For real?
It's all speculation that hasn't crossed the libel rule. You have to admit that it's a bit suspicious when the guy takes time off on a personal matter after clearing waivers. It seems t me a lot of people are jumping to conclusions unfairly about Dylan Olsen. I have not read or heard anywhere that he was "toxic" or "a probem". If that is the case would someone within the Team come forward and give us the REAL Story??
