Kornheiser blasting bud black again on the podcast lol. Says Baker had a record of success wherever he went.

I always thought bud black was overrated.

I'm listening to "Move that car!!" - 10/4/2016 on The Tony Kornheiser Show with TuneIn. #NowPlaying http://tun.in/thCa3D

Bud Black is a very good manager.

Baseball is a mess. The best team rarely wins. You have some teams that had a history of winning on a regular basis when they were the top team in the league like the 90s Yankees. But look at the 90s Braves, only won one. The early to mid 2000s Yankees won none though they came within one out of doing so. The current Nats team for the last 5 years not only hasn't won one but they also missed the playoffs for 2 years. Meanwhile, none of the Cards teams that won were really anywhere close to the best team, their 1998-2005 teams were all better than their 06, 11, and 13 teams and only the 2010 Giants team was really any good. The others were just teams that knew how to win.

2013 Cards won 97 games and 2015 won 100. They were probably almost, if not just as good as the 99-05 teams (they weren't good in 98).

But you are right in the fact that the two Cardinals teams that won probably had no business in the playoffs let alone winning and the teams that were supposed to win didn't.

He's a great fielding instructor. Made Eric Chavez into a 6-time gg'er, and Semien was sooo much better at ss.
