I don't hate it, but it just seems like we could have got someone better. Never mind Vermette, I would rather have had Cullen as well.

Good signing. Defensively responsible, can contribute a little offense (more than Nate), experienced, and on a cheap, short term deal. That's all we needed as a temp 4th line center, and he can probably play LW when Nate is back.

I can live with this. Allows Rakell and Wagner not to be forced into the lineup while Thompson is out.

You guys will like him. Good defensively and can put up 25+ points from the 4th line. He was one of our best players against you guys in the playoffs 2 years ago.

Perfect Thompson replacement / insurance / depth center signing. Really nothing to argue about whatsoever. Good price, existing need. Brings all of the attributes that you'd want, minus the skating, which would put him a level too high for that role at least.

Eh... another bargain Bob signing...

37 yrs old, did he really need to offer 1.75m? He probably would have taken 1M.

Would have rather picked up Desjardins or even try a lazy Chris Stewart...

That's not the greatest 1,000th post I've seen.

He's a perfect fit for the hole left by Thompson's injury, and a great vet and locker room guy, who's probably underpaid as is. Neither of those options you mentioned come close to filling this role and/or need.

Good signing. Will fill in nicely for Thompson, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up being on the wing for the 4th line when Thompson is back. Let Jackman/Wagner be the spare forwards.
