Confirmed with Link: Ducks sign Heatley (1 year, 1m)

I think this is going to work out real well. Very similar to the Penner signing but I feel like Heatley is dying for a ring. I think he could turn into the best bang for the buck this year. Worst case he actually does suck and watches from the press box. No lose situation if you ask me. What's nice is we won't have to deal with trying to shoehorn in with Getzlaf and Perry like we did with Penner and won't have to feel guilty about scratching him like we did with Teemu. Really like this move.

****ing all star.

Good signing for the PP alone. Now we just need a respectable LH point shot

Gives us 12 forwards who have to clear waivers.

Rakell/Karlsson/Kerdiles take up the 4th centre spot so that leaves 1 spot open for Etem still. It's not a given he starts in the AHL.

Edit: Unless we don't move a defenseman or Vatanen goes down that is.

Oh..the line juggling next season

Good signing, helping out the pp will help to offset the youth we have trying to sneak into the lineup, and split our discussion board

No risk at all. Played with a boring team in the Wild. Lets see what he can do with Getzlaf/Perry/Kesler.

What does us being boring have to do with anything? If you're slotting him into your 1st or 2nd line I feel sorry for you. He's still a good PP specialist but not much else. It's a great low risk signing and I like Heater, great guy in the locker room but I would just caution you to keep your expectations low. Congrats on signing him though, I wish him nothing but the best.
