Based on the way Hakan spoke about him after the draft, I'm going with Johansson. Kid could be a real steal when it's all said and done.

Based off what we’ve seen for sure, Svechnikov.

Based off my gut, it’s Johansson. Know that contradicts a lot of evidence we have so far (our scouts evidently valuing the Finnish kid higher), but just a gut feeling

Getting much harder to pick now, going with Svech since he's most NHL ready. Obviously concerned about his knee injury especially since he wasn't a fast skater to begin with.

I don't think anyone else on the list is a lock to reach the NHL.

The answer has to be Svechnikov, and I don't feel there should be much of a debate on this one. Svechnikov is a different class of prospect than the others listed. Should be a Veleno in round 3 type of win.

I still have some hope for Svechnikov.

It seems we're mostly in the same page with this one, no one wants to vote Svech because he's been in the system for so long and there's nothing less exciting than a prospect that hasn't played in a year--but he was 15OA for a reason, he has big potential. If he puts it together we're looking at a heavy top 6 winger with all the tools you could ask for.

He was drafted 19th... I only know this because it was 1 pick after Chabot

I would say there is a definitive top 3, a definitive next 5, and beyond that we will see some real variety.
I wouldn't argue with that, hard for me to put Svechnikov in that group ahead of the others, but he's more than capable of becoming a solid NHLer if his injury issues are behind him

Hirose didn't even get half the votes, looks more like a clear top 4 IMO.

Maybe a clear top 3, a clear #4, and then a clear next 4. I don't think anyone is placing McIsaac with Zadina, Seider, or Veleno at this stage.

Oh yeah that's right. 15 or 19 though, the point is that Svech has the best tools of anyone left.

Can you imagine how much better you'd feel about the rebuild if we had Chabot instead of Svechnikov? Our defense would actually be in good shape.

What happened to
Michael Rasmussen ? He is not on any of the top 10 redwings prospect ranking.

He's considered graduated by most because he spent the season with the Wings.

But shouldn't be forgotten when discussing our prospect pool. Just not included due to ease of categorization. I consider almost anyone under 22-23 still developing, especially a defender.
