I wouldn't add a 7th to Brodie for JD, no thanks, would rather aim for the better W on the Habs and add on either side, but I'm not getting into any trades with the Habs because they heavily favor their players, I'd look at a couple younger guys who are struggling like the Hamilton trade

Drouin is far from being a line driving center. I'm pretty sure in reality the Habs would need to add (and likely significantly) to Drouin just to get Brodie, because Drouin isn't very good.

Trading Drouin isn't nonsense. He's our best trade chip to improve our biggest positional weakness during a UFA year that has a shallow pool of available LD. Meanwhile, we have a lot of capspace to replace Drouin with a deep UFA forward class.
