Really expected. A high intangibles per game player.

The Toews of Defenseman.

Good. They saw past all Karllsons points and have it to the correct guy. Congrats

nah the hype train was real since mid way through the season. Karlson could of had 100 points and made the playoffs and would of still lost it

Doughty won because he's the better all around defenseman. Guys tops in the league as far as most are concerned.

I don't like it when voters try to "rectify" past decisions. Previous seasons and their outcomes should not matter.

It's like the time Derrick Rose got MVP over LeBron.

Either way, both Doughty and Karlsson are worthy winners.

Good for him. Either could have won it, and I suspect Doughty making the playoffs over Karlsson helped sway the vote a bit.

TIL: Only forwards should be given praise for scoring points.

That'd actually be stupid considering that the norris is an award for an individual player.

I guess being able to play a 200 foot game is more important than points? who would have guessed
