both LHS...
Dubois has 20 more pts than anyone else on the team and a lot more PIMS.

Tkachuk is 3rd on his team scoring, a little smaller but has shown he can compliment top end scorers.

Tkachuk is from STL so could net us a Shattenkirk all by himself.

Neither. Trade the pick.

The last thing we need is another prospect that will take years to become an impact player. And that is best case scenario (worst being they bust)

Given that the OP specifically said that this is assuming that WE DON'T TRADE THE DAMN PICK, I'll say Dubois. Big guy, good skill, lots of toughness, just seems like a Chiarelli type of player.

^^ I know he said assuming pick not traded. Personally I will be peeved if the pick isn't moved to improve team. We do not need to get younger. We need get better players and more experience for the guys here

Dubois or trade the pick imo. A trade down for a D would be fine as well if we can get some extra assets.

Trade Nugent Hopkins.

Keep the pick and take Dubois.

Dubois - 6'3 beast, skates well, high skill, mean streak, can play C or W. Expansion draft protected.

RNH - 6'0 string bean, skilled but soft, can only play C.

If we were forced to pick at 4 then I'd take Dubois. Yep, another winger but the other 3 D are not worthy of the 4th overall pick IMO.

IF the OP's criteria were reality (really think it will be dealt), give me PLD. Eliteprospects.com describes him as possibly the most complete player in the draft. I've heard comparisons to Benn also.

if we don't trade it....Dubois
Tkachuk's stats are inflated by a great Knights team

Yeah this is my biggest concern about Tkachuk. On the other hand, Dubois out scored Svechnikov by 20 points, and there were a lot of people on here who really wanted him with our second pick last year. I initially wanted Chychrun at 4, but seeing him slide as of late is concerning. So Dubois it is if we don't trade the pick.

You trade a roster player for a good D-man.
You trade the pick for a good D-man.
Or you use the pick to draft a D-man.
At the end of the draft the Oilers MUST have a good D-man on the roster.
