Draft Lottery Winners. What Would Be The Biggest Story?

Flames getting a top 3 pick - which goes to the Islanders. Partly a big story because it would be the highest pick in Calgary’s 37-year history and they wouldn’t even own it.

Kind of amazing they have never picked higher than 4th.

I'd be fine with any of those teams with the exception of the putrid Oilers, the undeserving Hawks and the Coyotes and their 8 season ticket holders and 73 fans.

I'd like the Flames, Habs, Sens or particularly the Canucks to win it.

"Purtrid Oilers" who are likely to finish 10th last in the NHL? That isn't Putrid.

Undeserving Hawks? Nobody deserves it.

Weak attempt to bash the Coyotes.

But the icing on the cake is you hoping that any other Canadian team wins it, without the realization that Calgary doesn't get their pick.

Could it be any worse than when the Oilers won it in 2015 for McDavid or in 2016 when the Leafs won it for Matthews?

We all know it's not fixed so if the Blackhawks win the 1st pick they will be very lucky.

People are gonna hate this but Detroit deserves it most. One single solitary top 10 pick in the last 25 years.

... At least, that's the argument I'm making to the hockey gods.

That's kind of absurd. I wouldn't be upset at all if Detroit won the lottery.
