Oh When the Spurs
Quite possible. who knows. not stoked on Stanley but it would be great to see him over achieve all our expectations.
Right now, looking at his comparables, having an NHL career at all would be exceeding expectations.

Times have changed buddy, Let that sink in.!
Not only do we draft this peasant, we miss out on likely Clague/Dineen/Cholowski, etc.

Button usually is a decent judge of talent - probably a bit moreso than the "experts" here.... His take on Stanley:
“Big man who has continued to improve his overall game. Mobility is good. He makes solid plays with the puck and he can play a territorial game that isn’t pleasant for opponents.†- TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button
Time will tell....
Hmmm chychrun or stanley? They had better make ****ing use of that caproom. Otherwise its a joke.
At least we have Laine.
Stuart had 20 points in 38 games in the NCAA when he was drafted.
Mark Stuart is better offensively...let that sink in.
Yes, times certainly have changed. Away from the concept of guys like Stanley as viable NHLers.
Hope he develops his skating and finds a bit of an offensive touch, otherwise this is flushing two picks down the toilet.
To the people saying that people being upset about this pick will have to eat their words...
I really hope so.
The kids 18. Let that sink in!
The issue is why not get him at #22 and get another Dman at #36?
He also had an impressive combine
Some consolation? Other teams seemed to value Stanley pretty highly too.
