If Regehr doesn't return, how would you feel about Douglas Murray replacing him. Similar stay at home style, physical. Plays out west, which is where we seem to get most of our guys these days. He's 32 and makes 2.5 now. Lets say we could get him for 3.5 for 4 years. What do you think?

I don't understand if you're saying we should trade for him or sign him after the season?

I'd do it. Make it 3 years though. And don't sign Regehr at all, either way.

i know its early to start looking at next years roster and free agency but i think their are a few affordable players out there Like Murray and Filpulla (to replace Stafford if we could trade him) that could help us out.

I like him, but I also think he's someone who's on the downside of his career. Someone with his raw physical prowess should be untouchable for a team, but the Sharks are so concerned with team speed that he seems available. As a short term plug for Leopold right now, sure, but he shouldn't be a multi-season veteran presence.
