Dougie Hamilton or Aaron Ekblad?

In the right situation, i think Dougie might arguably have the slight edge. But as a "standalone" comparison, i like Ekblad's impact better. I feel pretty good about what Ekblad is going to give me at this point in his career, even if i don't happen to have that steady, elite defensive partner to staple to their side. I can't quite so confidently declare the same of Hamilton - however "symbiotically positive" his impact on that partner may be.

Ekblad was a machine for Florida this year before he got injured. Total domination in his own end, doesn’t beat around the bush when opposing forwards line him up in the corner.

There's like 2 defenders I take above Ekblad and it's not Hamilton.

If he can perform like nothing happened injury wise last season, then I pick Aaron Ekblad. I think Dougie Hamilton is a bit overrated.
