:sabres Sabres re-sign their own crash and banger

6'3 left winger Marcus Foligno gets 20 points and 200 hits with limited ice time (13 minutes a game) and is a valuable, hard-working role player for a young star-studded squad.
At age 24, the 4-year NHL pro Bottom-6 winger will easily be the oldest skater on the team and a leader by example in heart, effort and sacrifice on a rebuilding squad geared
to develop its young superstars by surrounding them with enough pieces to compete every night and create a positive culture and winning atmosphere right from the get go.

I didn't agree to retain 50%, but sure
It was in my offer. But with all my yapping you might have missed it. ;) My team is a rebuilder but it's pushing the cap ceiling now and has had to be salary conscious for a couple of days now.

Thanks for the easy negotiating.

The 1st round pick is valuable, but the Sabres have a game plan that's not so long term: Build the best possible team around its stars Eichel, Reinhart, Ristolainen to develop them and the squad into contenders not now, not next year but in years 3-5. Keeping Girgensons, McCabe and Foligno makes perfect sense in that rebuild.

Looking to package Honka, Guryanov, Janmark, Faksa, 1st, etc. for a high-end winger.

^^^ A dramatic overreaction, since I ain't responding to my team's prospects, but to my personal expectations of what this draft would show next (ugh, my 2nd oversight of LT's posts).

All current FA offers have now been announced. Deadline to sign any player is 12PM PST tomorrow. After that, I will allow for teams to finalize their rosters and get everything set. I'll explain voting tomorrow -- I'll start accepting them tomorrow night.

Game is close to finish, let's finish this thing strong!

Why exactly did Yandle sign with PIT when I was the one who bid 6.75M???
