Quick correction. Matthews has 54 points this year, not 66. He has 186 career points in 189 games.

Still well ahead of Kucherov's start to his career.

Obviously Matthews will lead the team in both goals and points per game this year, even though mitch and tavares play together and are both awesome, which tells us just how ridiculous Auston is.

Matthews will likely lead the team in actual goals, too. Points will be tougher but catching Johnny T for 2nd isn't out of the question yet.

If Matthews takes the team lead in points by the end of the season he deserves 12.5 million. He’d be right up there with McDavid for best player in the world. I hope it happens. (Assuming Marner’s and Tavares’ production doesn’t stagnant)

Absolutely incredible what Matthews has done despite having nowhere remotely close to as much PP time as the other "generational" players.

Absolutely incredible.

and he's not even done his 21yr old season yet - he's probably going to rise further up both lists by the end of the year.

we are so damn lucky.
