Do you think that Peladeau would be a better owner?

Would Peladeau be a better owner than Molson?

Yea they take their fans for granted.

Edit: also there seems to be this hostile relation between the fans and the org. like they are always on their toes when they talk to the media.

The day that Joel Bouchard is named in a higher office, maybe ass. GM this will solve many problems.
yet they're constantly losing, they should be smart enough to understand most fans will grow tired of losing.

We’re getting more French and bias with an owner like this which is a huge and uncontested NO.

The role Molson have is not to build a Stanley Cup winning team, that’s Bergevin job.. Molson when he arrived in front of the CA, the first thing they will look is $$. I will stop the conversation here, your knowledge of that subject are just not there
you may want to avoid using a word like knowledge considering all you're doing is spewing outdated cliches and have clearly no understanding of the game whatsoever.

- don't listen to the customers
- it's not the owner of a SPORTS franchise to build a winning team it's the guys the owner hired
- fact owner of a SPORTS franchise makes money elsewhere is important

that's pretty much all you're saying, and you have absolutely nothing to back this up.

This attempt to prop up Molson is beyond silly...

He is the owner.
He appointed himself president.
He hired the GM.

The abject failure of the franchise (hockey-wise) flows directly from his decisions... Thus he is a terrible owner (at least for any fans who value the on-ice product).

It's pretty straight forward.

I was talking the guys who run the players.
well, Ducharme and Bouchard were both on Team Canada Jr at some point and regarded highly, so they are fine "prospects".

Real problem with the language thing, and it showed in the hiring of the last HC, as sson as one reputable became available they jumped on him, now we're stuck with Dino Julien. They could have gone with rookies (like Bouchard/Ducharme or others) and it would have not made anything worse.

wanna go french ? ok... take the time and make the effort to find the best one(s), don't just pick the first one that can say Bonjour without an accent you know.

Hockey ops is not part of being an owner, that's the president job. He should really name a president of hockey ops.
HE IS BOTH. HE hired himself for the hockey Ops job. That's how great of an owner he is...

but even then, that still doesnt awnser the Q, what did he do as an owner to deserve praises ??

It shouldn’t end with who who can say bonjour. End of story. It cripples the team as long as it does.

Looked at from this angle, I agree with you. A good owner would not appoint himself as President, a role he has absolutely no qualifications for. Geoff has essentially made the Habs into his personal vanity project and is dragging the franchise along for the benefit of his tutorials.

To be fair, he's good when he confines himself to doing what an owner is supposed to do -- investing in the team and promoting the brand. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop there. Geoff's an actual Habs fan, which has made him eager to fund the Habs and also eager to meddle in its management. Unless we figure a way to split those two parts of his personality -- like that transporter accident in Star Trek with two Kirks -- we're stuck with him.

Off course not. He is too indecisive and volatile. Would he be a good VP of operations? Maybe. He is probably what the french media needs to silence them. The Habs number 1 issue is not having a good president.

Pretty sure the left side of their defense is a much bigger issue than having a president that you don't think is up to snuff.
