Honestly, there is no reason to think that he wouldn't. As long as he stays healthy all or the majority of the season he is just way too talented not to be right up there at the end of the season. I think that he could break a 100-point season in his career multiple times. The guy is unbelievable as you all know if you are here and Avalanche fans.

Do you think that he could win the MVP one season? Maybe when he is fully in his prime and he has one of those seasons where everything just goes in and clicks for him on both sides of the ice? I think that its possible he does it thought I know its very rare for a defenceman to win that

Well considering weed is legal in Colorado, Makar could end up being the highest scoring defensemen in the league. But he doesn't really strike me as a closet stoner.
