What do you think our bottom 6 should be when we're healthy?

i believe our lineup should be this.

12-34-16
89-91-16
71-15-11
97-19-65

I would probably put nash in the place of thornton as well, but we'll have to see how he is when he's healthy.
Not sure but Thornton could dance around naked with his pom poms or a grass skirt. He’s a cheerleader anyways. I wouldn’t play him. Simmons is just as effective at being useless and slow.
Take Thornton right out. Simmonds right out (i see you did) Take Engvall right out.
I would move Galchenyuk and Robertson out of the top 6 and move Foligno/Hyman on to the left sides. Robertson/Kerfoot/Mikheyev for a 3rd line
Galchenyuk/Spezza/Anderson

more speed but I don’t know that i like it better than your lineup. I just don’t like the look of our mix still. Third line is a rush line that can’t cycle or sustain pressure but its faster in the bottom 6.

I don’t like this teams intangibles no matter what way i slice it really. No matter what you do the intensity is not right through the 4 lines.

Oh yeah i forgot Nash. He can play in Kerfoots spot and add the jam and Kerfoot adds speed at center to the 4th. I guess all the ufa signing are depth if i had my way.

I'll point out again because i think it is a important aspect of this teams negative play that everyone either misses or ignores. This team is a turnover machine when compared to the contenders and possession teams.

My biggest fear with this team is the amounts of turnovers they puke up. They turn the puck over and try passing the puck in to the net is a other big beef.

To fancy. Direct that at whoever you want, they all are turnover machines from top to bottom of the lineup.

Here’s my logic:
first two lines should dominate puck possession, and therefore having such ability allows galchenyuk and Robertson to be there.

3rd line has Foligno, to which I could see the argument with having him and Robertson switch depending. But the 3rd line has speed, all while being capable of shutting down oppositions top lines and being better than the third line of the other team.

as much as everyone uses Thornton as a scapegoat, he’s not going anywhere. I think everyone over exaggerates his negative impact, but do believe nash is a better fit beside spezza and mikheyev.

You've just highlighted the precise problem of having half the cap on 4 forwards. Not enough money for depth/goaltending.

How much more money would you expect to spend on Goaltending? Between Campbell and Andersen the teams got close to 7 million committed there which is likely not that far off most teams who don't have tenders earning 10 mil like Price...

I've always liked this team, but I didn't LOVE them, like i do other teams in the past, despite their uber talent they seemed to be missing something. Previous game, Simmonds roughs up a guy falling on Campbell, rides him all the way to the boards behind the net. Last night's game, near the end i think, Tavares gets knocked down at the crease after play's dead. Auston skates in and cross checks the guy down that knocked Tavares. All the credit to Dubas for bringing in the right kind of vets.

This teams different from years passed. A little more grizzled, experienced and have something to prove. Seems like a little more engagement and urgency from most of the players. You can see how players stand up for each other on the ice and after a whistle. They won’t get pushed around like years passed.

Well we are days away from the playoffs the roster is set how does everybody feel now?

This team has about 16 NHL Forwards, about 8 NHL D and 3 legitimate NHL goalies.

This is the deepest team they have had in 20 years.

I truly think this team can win it all

Love that the second line looks dangerous. That line is the key to success. When they go, everyone goes.
