So does Smyth draw back in now that Hamilton is hurt? Is JJ ready?

Without question.

Justin Schultz needs to be used as a pp specialist and given sheltered minutes at es. He is a disaster in his own zone.

At least this should put to rest the 6M contract worries. He'll sign for 3-4M on a shorter term bridge deal.

Because LaBarbera had one of the shakiest performances I've seen since the last days of Cloutier.

Still better then Dubnyk. If Dubnyk was in net I doubt we even get a comeback as he'd probably have let in the 4th goal before we even tied it.

Also, if anyone recorded the game, watch Belov again. The guy made bad play after bad play, and turnover after turnover. God, he made me angry tonight.

Because sitting him again diminishes any chance of the 6.52 GAA goalie regaining his confidence.

Ya we shouldnt hurt the gentle giant. Give him the next 10 to slowly work his way to a 5 GAA, then hopefully by midseason he can be at around a 3.5.

He is has been playing uninspired and like he feels the #1 spot is guaranteed his for the forseeable future. Start JL and let dubnyk see we dont have to pay his salary to get subpar goaltending.

Gordon is playing exactly how I was hoping Belanger would when he signed here.

Good faceoffs and defensive play to go along with solid board presence and decent hands. I was a doubter but he may just be worth his contract.

This team needs another Boyd Gordon up front.

I'd come back with Labarbera again next game... a win is a win... run with the slightly less crappy goalie until they lose.

Labarbera was hilariously bad tonight. Bad on Jagr's goal, bad on Brunner's goal, bad on Elias's goal, got extremely lucky in the shootout against Brunner again. Whoever said Cloutier-like is wrong, because this was more like Ty Conklin without having Chris Pronger's stabilizing presence.

N Schultz has been the most steady dman so far imo. Also every Oiler who has taken faceoffs this year are 50% and better

"He was going well and I wanted to make sure he was fit." @dallaseakins, smirking, asked about RNH's return w/ team-high 28+ mins

Okay, I like this. Just don't let it become a habit, Dallas.

Great heart and fight to come back in the 3rd. Hall, RNH, Eberle, Perron, Hemsky all created great offensive chances.

Huge kudos to them on coming back.

Not going to put in too many negatives on a W but there defensive zone coverage is still below average. J. Schultz needs to learn how to play defense. He gets beat badly a lot.

Nice win and awesome return by RNH! Let's keep it going vs Montreal.

I thought Arcobello has actually played decently over the 1st 3 games.

So far... 2 assists, +1, 8 shots, 59% on the dot.

If he could have buried at least a couple of his golden chances he'd likely be praised as a hero now.
