The only two players that should be safe on this roster is Matthews because we can't replace him and Reilly because he should be the actual leader of the team. Everyone else should be availible for the right price regarding picks or players. They aren't a very good team and they are soft. Shanahan and keefe also need the boot as well. Tre has only had 60% of a season so he should have a little leeway.

Tkachuk got his ass kicked and turtled on the flames. Forgot who he fought but remember him getting done well

Marchand is the least intimidating figjter ever too. He sucker punched Sedin in 2011 finals who took it for a Power play. He never fights, just does pest like stuff.

Our stars + depth should do the same. No fighter will fighter pur stars either. If they do have to drop the gloves, for pest actions, it will be against other stars who cant fight to save their life (see Stamkos vs Matthews in R1 2023 playoffs)

There are no victims... only volunteers. They play how the coach tells them to play and nobody is afraid of the Leafs except when its end to end pond hockey. They just need to act greasy like the opposition does and be prepared to take the odd penalty for it. As Hamza says, most of these other guys never back it up anyway. I remember when there was rumours that Sam Bennett may be available and I was praying we would get him. Same with Zadorov. You need a few of those type guys to win along with a total team buy in they do not currently have. That Reilly suspension shows maybe and hopefully things are changing.

Team toughness is more important than having one enforcer who doesn’t play or enforce shit. Having guys like that on your team is huge. Sam Bennett would have been a great fit in Toronto. Instead, he terrorized the leafs in the playoffs.

Take a look at what happens when we decide to be villains, 5 minute majors and full series suspensions, guys getting suspended for 6 games who have 0 history, bottom 5 in penalties drawn, get eliminated from the playoffs in back to back years off of missed penalties.

As long as Jacobs is chairman and Parros is the head of dops, we cannot afford to be the villains.

It is beyond frustrating.

I think we need to time it better

If we are up big. Go hard, celebrate hard. Every goal go crazy

If we have an Empty Net chance to put game up by 2 or 3 goals, do slappers, michigan, overhyped celebrations

If we are getting blown out, go full shenenigans mode. Ice spray other teams goalies, give some nice love tap slashes to teams on the ankles/shins

The leafs have allowed the media+NHL refs+NHL safety to dictate way to much of our games.
