Do I still need to justify why Draisaitl is the greatest?

it’s amazing how year after year people say Leon won’t keep this up or how he won’t be as good this year etc.

Yet he’s better every season.

My threads even got deleted because the mods thought I was trolling but I was 100% serious.

I will admit my claims MAY have sounded ridiculous but it seems that people here are starting to agree.

No longer Batman and Robin, now Superman and Batman

Good thing Chia didn't trade Draisaitl for defense.
The Oilers should strongly consider trading Leon Draisaitl

I like to look back at this article and laugh.

Drai is making a strong case to move ahead of MacKinnon on my best NHL players list. What a stud.

Probably the best all-round player in the NHL 20 games into this season.

Last season more than half of this board argued that Draisaitl is not better than McDavid. I'll give you that, since he was only SLIGHTLY better. But this year, Draisaitl has proven he's better.

I know that people argue "but he can't play without McDavid"

I think it's time to say "McDavid can't play without Draisaitl"

Regardless of what you think, we are lucky to have these 2.

Actually pretty close.

Since the 2017-18 season:
Draisaitl: 209 points in 179 gp
Mackinnon: 218 points in 173 gp

Since the 2018-19 season:

Mackinnon: 1.22 ppg

In fact, if you look at the entire league since the 2018-19 season:
McDavid: 1.51
Kucherov: 1.45
Draisaitl: 1.38

Drai has the 3rd best production in the entire league. If you look at goals, he's tied for 1st with Ovechkin. He's a top-10 player in the league AINEC.

Still don't think Draisaitl is better than McDavid overall, he's just mostly been better this year. He doesn't need to be better than McDavid either, he's still amazing and one of the best players in the entire league either way. For all the things MacTavish got wrong as GM, thank god he got this one right.

The fact that he is far and away the best even strength scoring player this year adds to his value this year. He has 1 ppg to pasternaks 9.

Care to revisit some of your points now that we have some more games to view?

Draisaitl @ 8.5 mill = McDavid @ 12.5 mill

But if they are both the same cost I choose McDavid..
