He was playing sheltered ES while leading the league in PP TOI IIRC. Any D to have 60 points is talked about for the Norris regardless of the circumstances that impact it.

Right, and no other player is put in a position to succeed like that, ever.

I never said that.... The guy i quoted wondered about his Norris season and thats the honest answer. He was #3 behind Bouwmeester and Regher and most of his points were on the PP where he was top 10 in the league in ice time. If you ask me i consider the Phaneuf of today much better than the Phaneuf of then since the Phaneuf of then was an incompetent defensively defenseman who only had a hard slapshot and solid hits. At this point he is a solid #1D who excels in all facets.
