It's hard to predict how much Dion could regress. Obviously, at 37 years of age he won't be worth 7 mil, but that is what it is going to take to keep him here

If 7m then its only a 500k increase to the cap hit. I remember being called stupid for suggesting a 6.5m - 7m cap hit on the next contract lol

7mil would be a steal, especially with the cap rising to upwards of 80 million in 2 years. He'd be getting paid WAY less than he currently is if you adjust for how much of a percentage of the cap he would be taking up.
