Nope, they were in the ECAC prior to becoming a founding member of Hockey East.

Northeastern is a founding member of the Hockey East athletic conference, which the team joined in 1984. Given that Reinhart's value was around about a late R1, if Levi turns out to be anything it's got to be seen as a big win for Adams. He was a throw in who wasn't going to get a chance in Florida.

Not great competition, though it's a good first step to establish confidence. Stopping 20 shots total against two scrub teams isn't anything to get excited about.

For me the bar is set at WJC Silver, which means I want to see him to dominate Hockey East and excel in tournament play (Bean Pot, NCAA Frozen Four).
