Just got back from the game. Posting thoughts without reading the board but good chance they're a bit repetitive.

1. Super meh on the goal song, would be more upset about it I guess if I weren't pretty sure they were gonna get rid of it probably by the time we get back home, but soon anyway.

2. Zidlicky looked like **** out there, Harrold looked surprisingly on point, our defense had more holes than a cheese grater.

3. Upstairs looked pretty full, but we had a row to ourselves in the Fire Lounge area. (Section 19)

4. Marty looked both good and bad, it's October, he's Marty; sky isn't falling there.

5. <3 Brunner, enough said.

6. Really hope Jagr is gonna grow a pair and play better soon, he isn't worth keeping around to play on the fourth line.

EDIT: 7. After reading the comments and watching the highlights on nhlcom I can't believe I forgot the ****ing shenanigans Volchenkov pulled, pyloned up in a couple of big spots, some of which he got bailed out of but man they were ugly and possibly the most cringeworthy sieve moments of the game.

On the whole, could have been a lot better, but we also got into some rhythms and I think fundamentally we've got some solid parts for a good year and we got out of there with a point; can't say that we looked up to form but it's October and I'm still optimistic about the season, status quo.

I don't know what anyone expected from Jagr today, he hadn't played literally all preseason and now he's getting into a back-to-back with OT right off the hop. You're not getting a 25-year old Jagr, you're getting the 42-year old version.

Not sure why people are unhappy with Clowe. I thought he was good.

Clowe is not a fast skater. He has a very good passing ability that Clarkson does not have and the goals will come he's gotten robbed two games in a row now.

Yea, I'm willing to give Jagr a few more weeks to work out the kinks, since before these last 2 days, the last time he laced em up for game action was in June. Something definitely looks off with him though but I'll attribute that to rust and the fact hes 675 years old. It does look like they don't quite know what to do with him as far as what line to place him him on. That experiment with Clowe and Elias did not go well.

Clowe is a pretty good passer too. I liked that he tried to spark the team with the fight in the Pens game. Didn't really work, but I liked his intentions.

i'm starting to move away from hating harrold so much.

this guy was really good today, and the minutes he played were well justified. he kept pucks on point, made some solid passes, and sealed off the puck a few times. he's more responsible defensively than i first thought, and has some experience as a forward to boot

I don't mind Harrold because he IS better than Volchenkov at this point. The Kremlin Kone needs to go bye bye on a permanent vacation to SKA, or preferably to another planet.

I hate to say it and perhaps it's a bit premature, Our PK has looked much better without the merc.

Was I hallucinating a minute or two in when I saw Jagr take the puck from behind the net, spin, and shoot the puck off Nabby's far pad, giving Clowe a juicy rebound with almost the entire net to shoot at? He still wasn't that great but there was definitely improvement from yesterday. I think a lot of you would be saying different things about Clowe and Jagr is Nabokov doesn't come up with a big save there.

Edit: BC, he robbed him real bad. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed.

I think the Devs outplayed the Isles for a majority of the game, and heavily at times. Offense looked good, the size really helps down low and to keep the puck in the zone.

That was an awesome shootout between two AARP goalies:handclap:

Agreed. Congrats to you guys. Fitting revenge for the Brooklyn game maybe?

wow after the second Grabner goal Larsson only played 6 minutes for the rest of the night (including OT). I mean I know he played bad, but I didn't think he was worse than Volchenkov who somehow got more minutes than him.

I was going to say... I got the behind view on that and it looked bad from there. I jumped up and let out a half yell when I saw the puck go to Clowe.
