New Jersey(No Fanz!)
Boyle and Vatanen back in, Kinkaid starts.

That is huge.....Vats being back that is.

Looking forward to another game thread of slobbering all over Jesper Bratts play

Hope people understand how special of a player we have in him and just how rare it is to have a hockey IQ as high as his.

Slobber? We are HFBoard'ers.

We don't Slobber.

....much. :sarcasm:

Basically our lineup is fully healthy for the first time all year, right? I expect a good performance today.

6th round pick lol.

Top 10-15 player from the 2015 draft right now.

I wonder how Boyle is gonna look. I honestly think the team has looked a bit better without him in the lineup honestly.

I feel like we are do for another shit game on home ice.

Jesus, look at that drop off of PP ice time for Zacha this year compared to the last 16 games of last year.

don’t love complaining about personnel choices and it’s great to have Vatanen back, but i just think it’s a horrible horrible decision to take Yakovlev out for today.

Playing Yak over Lovejoy would likely mean a Butcher/Yak pairing, which could be problematic. Plus Lovejoy kills penalties.

The top two pairings are going to play a majority of the even strength minutes, with Butcher and Lovejoy each getting special teams minutes. Yak is not good enough defensively to kill penalties, so unless he's replacing Butcher on the PP, he's going to be the odd man out.

Honestly, despite regressing to the mean, LJ has been serviceable.

But Yak has already shown to be a bit better and fits what the team wants.

He can move the puck pretty well, has some speed and can skate much better than Lovejoy, and he actually can pass without icing the puck almost every time, and can set up a goal without a fluke tip in.
