Both goals are legit according to the rules, but both are cheap and just leave a bad taste in your mouth. I still think its hilarious (now that we're out) and mind boggling that this team has lost 17 straight shootouts including 13 this year.

If the Shootout isn't eliminated next year, I hope SOMEBODY lets Pete or whomever the Head Coach is that players are ALLOWED such cheap crappy goals.

That's what it comes down to ... this team was suspect, but would be in the playoffs with a half-way reasonable performance in the shootout. It killed the season ... bitter taste.

Hopefully he goes to a division rival so he can put a 25% faceoff guy out for key defensive zone draws with 35 seconds left, forget to call timeouts, and just be a general idiot for an opponent.

Game meant nothing for either team, but 2nd & 3rd SO goals should have been waived off.
Both shooters came to full stops and actually went a little backwards too.

The shootout gimmick is bad enough but if this game meant something to us and we lost a point because of those calls, it would be an even bigger disgrace.

The tripping call on Merrill in OT was horrific call too and deprived us of a fun OT.
The NHL refs are the worst in all of the pro sports leagues by miles.

I don't know what you're referring to with "this rule", the spin-o-rama was never banned, so nothing was changed. There was talk about banning before this year, but the players are the ones who didn't want it banned. The NHL just put language into the rule explicitly saying that is allowed.

Agreed that was a dive if I ever saw one. He fell three times until he got the call.

Jagr should have about 7 goals in the last 3 games and has none.
He works his tail off 110% but he just can't score anymore the last 10 or so games.
