Stupid comment will be stupid. It was a skate around the ice one last time.... Did you see the Marty retirement ceremony and fanfare? Or were you deep in the woods for that? I'm guessing you weren't there. It was greater than any other Devils event I've ever seen. Management went over and above for that, as they will Patty's actual ceremony.

You gotta wonder why in a totally meaningless game with a healthy player sitting in the press box, we dress 11 forwards and 7 defenseman. There's nothing to gain by double shifting someone to fill Thomsons spot, there's nothing to gain by playing Prout either. Unless of course they're, you know, not trying to win.
