Ovie is a great character and hockey player, that was a pleasure to watch at him through the caree, root for and against him, sad we didn’t play against him in play off, and it looks like we will not have a chance to play against him, same story with Crosby - another great hockey player, another Great career and pleasure to watch. Carolina weren't in our division then. It wasn't impossible to play the Capitals back then, but a little less likely to draw them in the first round.

Actually, the Capitals should have probably won that division (how the hell did again did Florida win that division in 2012?) in 2012 and they would have been our first round opponent instead of Florida.

Probably would have met up with the Pens in 2009 if we could have gotten past Carolina, maybe in the ECF? Think we might have had to play the Caps in round two in 2009 if we beat Carolina. Can't remember.

I also think in the past Caps D always scored on us. Point shots just found a way in no matter what. Probably cause theyre good around the net and screening the goalie.
