Fraser is the replacement for the young D man Lou is gonna trade for Kessel. Start trying to accept it now. I'm going rouge though. I'll never be able to accept that.

I don't see us going after Kessel. Given Lou's comments about us being in good cap shape and talking about adding forwards, I think he's going to target somebody with cap issues that needs to dump a contract. Maybe Eriksson or Sharp. I hope I'm wrong, but I could see Mike Richards being a Devil next year given Lou's relationship with Lombardi and the Kings likely needing to dump some salary.

I'm at the point where Oduya is probably our best realistic bet, based on his handedness, age, style of play, versatility, and familiarity.

I would absolutely love McQuaid, but it's just not realistic mainly due to his age. He will likely want a contract that we can't afford to give to him without limiting one of our young guys of a roster spot in the future.

Lou should call in a favor from Lombardi.

I'm not sure how I would feel about Richards. I don't know too much about what happened to him in LA. It seemed like they used him as a PP and PK specialist yet had him playing the fourth line. I don't exactly get how that happens though. If you're good enough to play on the PP, shouldn't you get more ice time than the fourth line?

NONE of them "earned" the right to be there sans a select few. the forwards were an abomination this season outside of Henrique, Gomez, and Cammalleri

thats the main problem. seemingly no accountability on this team.

Accountability is far from the issue here. It's talent.

BP, Gionta is a 4th liner. He's not a career AHLer. You guys are complaining about exhibition games that should'v went to one player or another but it doesn't matter. It just doesn't. I don't have a problem with Tuomo Ruutu who played 77 games this year play the last couple weeks over Matteau and Boucher when one of them was scratched. In the long run, it doesn't matter.

well thats where we differ. its ALL about accountability. this team has sort of become a country club atmosphere with certain veterans

its the same crap as to why they played Salvador, Harrold, etc. over Larsson. "earn your keep" only applies when youre a young kid and not a veteran for whatever reason. and THAT is what I have a problem with. Zubrus had arguably the worst season for a forward in this team's history granted how much he played yet he was still out there nightly playing decent minutes. its ridiculous.
