Really glad he signed. Definitely not a slam dunk by any means, but he's got some intriguing upside.

It'll be interesting to see what they do with all of these guys coming into the pro system if the AHL doesn't have a season. Maybe have them play overseas?

Great. Don’t know if he will have the defensive game for the NHL but he’s a talented guy so hopefully he can put a complete game together.

This is another guy with potential and the more you have the better your chances of having some impact NHL players pan out.

His in zone coverage will make Severson look like a damn legend. He has an excellent first pass and an elite shot for a defender. Think Andy Delmore.

The right side on Binghamton last season was pretty empty - Jacobs for sure, Tennyson when he wasn't here, and at season's end David Quenneville came in. So there's not a lot of competition for him there for ice time, if Binghamton has a season at all.

Even if he turns into a sheltered 3rd pairing/PP specialist type, the Devils could absolutely use someone in that role. I guess that's sort of where Butcher slots in, but nothing wrong with some internal competition and maybe it pushes one of these guys to get to the point of being able to play further up the lineup.

It’s just nice to have drafted defensive prospects in the AHL, since last season we had all of two and they were drafted in 2014 & 2015.
