Pepe energy was as crucial to the heater as anyone on the ice

Anderson is one goaltender clearly overachieving to start this year.

He’s a .900% since the start of 2017-2018 and is ancient.

He only even survived this long because Henrik Lundqvist had a heart issue. Literally. He was about to go unsigned in 2020-2021 until that happened and he got a PTO. If he didn’t play that year then I see very little chance he plays again after sitting out an entire year unsigned at 40 years old.

Though he barely did play that year.

Buffalo scares me as a team. Tons of talent playing balls out . They have a lot of guys that are hot right now . Thompson , Tuch , Quinn , Cozens , Dahlin , then there is Olafsson that has scored more against us than any other team by far … he is the next Sprong / Bjorkstrand against us .
They have scored 13 goals in the last two games …
No doubt they can score but they make mistakes and if we capitalize on those and exit our zone cleanly and quickly , I know we can win.

And coincidentally, Lundqvist’s heart problem actually gave Vanecek a chance to break into the league too. As he would have either been in the minors to start that year or the third string goalie on the taxi squad.

Hoping for a good effort after Wednesday’s loss. We’re better than the Sabres in pretty much every aspect and our special teams match up very well against theirs.

If they give a good effort and lose, it’s not the end of the world. Teams lose, but we should expect a good effort tonight. Team has shown they can do that much.

Just kidding haha, but more seriously, Buffalo scored big against Montreal and St-Louis, 2 of the worst defensive teams in the league so far. We matchup very well against them in pretty much every facet. I was more worried coming in against Toronto on Wednesday than I am tonight.

The one guy that really seems to score a lot against us over there is that Asphalt guy.

Maybe all of those goals were in 20-21 when he played them 8 times that year and it just seems like it’s more.
