Thing is crowd was so pumped he first 10 min that nothing until the last 345..and Jay Pandolfo...who'd have guessed

What made it awesome was the last 3:45. Just all that bottled up energy exploded. I don't think we stopped cheering until we got in our cars. I've never been to a regular season game that exhilarating. Everyone you talked to, everyone you saw was just so giddy.

That's what I remembered the most about that night. Not the Russian-Quitter's first game but Pando coming through. It was like Bizarro-World that night.

Hard not to remember the Russian though. First 10 minutes of the game were all about him. We kind of gave him a heroes welcome. Before he even got on the ice.

Stevens: There are the obvious moments like the hits but his backhand goal in game 2 vs. Florida in 2000 always sticks out to me. I don't know what the hell it was but you could just literally feel at that moment that it was going to be a special spring and Scotty was going to lead us through it. All the weight of the first round collapses the prior years was lifted when he scored this goal.

I think had we realized just how REAL the threat of that friggin' KHL was at that time, we would've been a bit more restrained in our adulation.

But then again, NO ONE could ever think that ANY PERSON would just retire in his prime with all that money remaining(I don't care how much Taxes/Escrows he had to pay. He's still set for friggin' life. That jackazz)
