A small part of me believes the D still has enough talent to oops into a win if the goaltending is good.

The absence of Nolan Foote is also quite interesting, I figured he would be in this lineup after missing the last few games.

Dineen made a really cryptic quote to Utica meeting that he’s keeping an eye on the health of some players that might lead to opportunities in Utica or the NHL team. Wonder if that means someone like Nolan.

Could also be referring to Halonen as he’s been out since getting hurt in the fight in the first pre-season game.

All young and fringe guys. Still worth watching for the young guys

No Bowers or Halonen however.

If the Devils somehow win this game, I would laugh so hard at the Isles.

Preseason or not....their full lineup getting beat by a lineup consisting of mostly AHL'ers and fringe players (with a couple of main team NHL'ers) would be hilarious.

I think it’s too much rest regardless of if the regulars play tonight or not; so get the regulars some recovery days and ramp practice back up 4 days before the first game.

i am fine with losing 16 games. 66-16 is one hell of a record.

It's most likely to prevent injuries to the main core. I'm hoping to see Mercer and Holtz play on same line.
