Hathaway forced that. He has been nothing short of awful in the offensive zone for a while now.

4th line has been garbage for a while. They let in two goals in 30 seconds against the Pens a few games ago which torpedoed that game. Last 5 games: 0 combined points, -4 combined.

Dowd turned away from the net after he received the puck, not before. He had all the space in front of him to raise his head and get the puck to the slot. Instead he acted like a real dumbass 4th line scrub he is.

He is the best player on the ice some nights and beer league quality other nights. But he's 35, so it's expected. Maybe stop expecting him to carry his passenger teammates every night.
