Who said he's Connor McDavid? Bratt is a great skater though and has made many d-men look foolish this season, don't see how saying that is saying he's McDavid level.

Nico had a really strong game last night and imo was our best player, how is that false when he had 3 points, created chances, and was great defensively? That doesn't take away anything from McLeod's game (or even the 4th line as a whole), which was very dynamic. And if we're going with "goals that should never happen on an NHL goalie", his goal was a nice rush but a qualified NHL goalie probably stops that, especially considering Mikey sort of dropped the puck lol. Still a sick goal imo.

Yeah if you have anything but positive things to say about Nico’s game yesterday, you’re just a hater. Plays the toughest minutes on the team, anchors the PK that was perfect last night, puts the team on his back in the 3rd and carries them to victory. All against a good team. A real loser that guy is.

going back to the Montreal game, I remember that play on the PK where he carried the puck the length of the ice, then played keep away with it from the entire Montreal team in the far corner, then went back to our end with it all flying solo. That's first overall pick stuff in my eyes. Blues broadcast had him pegged as the player of the game last night.

Some people would rather be right and miserable than admit they were wrong and be happy about a player.

I think you are wrong. My guess is a wrist or hand injury. He was slashed on the hand at one point as he cruised through the slot

i recall him getting his leg/knee worked on in the MTL game. Did it bother him against StL? We can’t be sure but it’s not uncommon to have soreness after a mild strain or sprain.

*whispers* I thought the hit on Boqvist was clean.

Just a bad pass from the defenseman that was too far ahead of Boqvist, he was trying to reach for it and got caught in an awkward spot. Maybe a slightly high hit, but definitely not dirty.

Still, good on Mercer for sticking up for him.

it was clean.. but the response was good

Can’t believe Im the only one that picked up on the injury

Two things - first you are the only one mentioning it. Second you do much better if you don’t state opinions as facts and simply brush others off. I mean why not add an AINEC after your dismissive reply to me since that always proves the poster is correct. Look, I saw his knee/lower leg getting worked on in the bench area late in that game. I saw it but maybe I was in a different universe. Does that mean he didn’t also have a shoulder thing? No of course not. He might have both. Im one of several people that saw the knee/leg. Without pictures/video a “nope” is just not a real response.

it's amazing, how people blame the devils season on goaltending.

gillies has three wins for the season. in all three games the devils scored 7 goals. if the forwards would give him enough support, he wins the games. just like price.

:sarcasm:
Oh god, I actually didn't even realize we scored 7 goals in every win he has.

I was trying to think of the first one and it came to me after 10 seconds that it was that Carolina game with Pat LaFontaine in net for the Canes. That was our last win before the recent 2 game winning streak.

It is kind of funny that right after several people said they don't score enough they score touchdowns in back to back games.

Of course now that I've said that we'll get shutout like 4 straight games.

Past 14 games: 21 goals in the Canes, Habs, Blues games. 21 goals in the other 11.

Our offense is frustratingly inconsistent. Some nights we can seemingly score at will, other nights we can barely get shots on net. And sometimes the difference is down to puck luck.

Same thing with our resilience. Some nights when we go down early, we battle back and at least make it close if not tie it. Other nights we fold completely. Never know which team will show up.
