New Jersey(No Fanz!)
Will be there tonight with my new RR jersey annoying the hell out of my son who's an Avs fan and all of the other chill Coloradans screaming my head off like a lunatic no Nico no Jack no problem!

Let's f***ing go Devils!

I hope Bratt gets a hat trick (and the Devils come out of this with a win) to make your day and destroy your son's (with all due respect).

I had a beer league game last night that started at 10:30. Didn’t get to bed until after 1am and today is an in-office day. So no way in hell am I staying up for this one. First period and then bed. I’ll watch the rest tomorrow morning since I’ll be WFH.

I oftentimes find that the people who mock anyone who complain about the late start time are able to sleep until 2pm the next day before heading into their job at Applebees.

No judgement, but I’d also complain a lot less if my responsibilities tomorrow were comprehensive at “shave? idk maybe the next day”

10 pm? On a school night?

I saw this started at 10 and figured I'd catch one period. But now I see it's on TNT, instead of ESPN+ like I was expecting.

So now I have to decide whether I care enough to sail the deep waters just to watch one period of a game where our best players are out, we're at the end of a road trip, and the opponent is good and motivated.

...Or if I'll take a pass and just check the box score later.

We'll see.

I'm glad I had the same first thought as everyone else it seems. 10pm start is brutal, gonna need an extra dose of coffee for this one. Even then my head's already killing me lol.

I’m assuming a majority of people on here are “old” or at least well out of college and with careers. I don’t know how many younger people are seeking out message boards these days, if anything, they probably default to Reddit.

The issue to me is less the late start by EST standards versus the late start in the home market. 8pm in the home market for a midweek regular season game? That's the best the league could do? They are barely trying. A game started locally once at 8:30 pm during the week to accommodate the Lakers audience. I wanted to slap Silver around for that one. He was at that game but I was too lazy to make my way over to where he was sitting to yell at him.

There's a reason why we're allowed to use some of the swear words on the board now. Management figured out that there are no kids here anymore.

Yeah, this is really brutal. Took some convincing to get my wife to say okay to our 13 year old son going out on a weekday at 8pm. 😄
How long will it take you to get home after the game? Presumably it will end around 10:30 local time. I've been to my share of Monday night football games and have gotten home from those at about midnight. My kids have always done better than me the day after those late nights.

Getting out of the lot and home, probably 45 minutes, so not terrible. Yeah, I’ll definitely be in worse shape tomorrow. 😂

Hey now, I was on HFboards all throughout university, even at the tail end if high school lol. Though I'm an out of town fan so it was the best way to actually chat with other Devils fans.

If NJ is running up the score early in the third maybe you can sneak out a bit early. But I understand the interest in sticking it out to see if McLeod can score that fourth goal.

Not on MSG go and I should be sleeping. So fun to listen to Colorado broadcast especially if that homer behind the microphone for them is unhappy when something doesn't go the AVS way. He'll bellyache over all of the Devils fans in attendance and bash New Jersey because most of them moved to Colorado from NJ or the NY metro area. Just call a fair and exciting call. No need to be a whiny jerk off. It can be done I have listened to every radio broadcast team in this league. They are all better! LFGD!

Lol yeah I registered my freshman year of college, but message boards were still the “voice of the people,” and as far as I know, Reddit wasn’t the dominate internet platform and Twitter wasn’t used the way it is today either.

I wonder how many users on here even know what the “HF” stands for anymore. The HockeysFuture website was awesome and the prospect ratings were fun.
